Parathormone levels | Parathormone, or parathyroid hormone is the hormone secreted by the parathyroid glands, small glands located in the neck behind the thyroid gland. It controls the levels of calcium in the blood. |
Prolactin test | Prolactin is a hormone secreted by the pituitary gland that controls breast development and milk production in females. Abnormal prolactin levels may be noted in conditions like pituitary tumors, the intake of certain medications and polycystic ovarian syndrome. |
Total testosterone levels | Testosterone is the male sex hormone that is produced mainly by the testes in males. Diseases affecting the pituitary gland, the adrenal glands and the testes may affect the total testosterone levels. |
